This was a key topic during Aquasur in Chile this week, where AMOF Fjell Process Technology AS with Managing Director Jan Terje Sønstabø participated as part of the Norwegian delegation, in collaboration with Innovasjon Norge.

Chile is one of the world’s largest aquaculture markets and a key destination for Norwegian technology. With a strong position as a global leader in aquaculture solutions, Norway plays an important role in supporting more sustainable and efficient production in the region 🐟

A central theme in the discussions was resource utilization. With only a limited share of the fish ending up as fillet, there is significant untapped potential in by-products. New process technologies are enabling this shift—turning what was once considered waste into valuable resources ♻️
